Delighted that a musician as distinguished as the composer Paul Lewis will be conducting my Pastorale & Allegro at the Rye Festival on 10th September. The all-English programme can be seen at www.ryefestival.co.uk Go to 'events'.

White Bird, my take on the Dartmoor legend about the Oxenham family spooked by a bird whenever a member of the family is about to die, now has two performances next year - at the Tavistock Festival on April 14th and then at Shalkdon in St Peter's Church on the 15th. Suzanne Manuell (ENO) who gave the first performance back in 2000 has agreed to  sing the vocalise part once again. Excellent news.
